Kristi Martin, HCDC Executive Director
Kristi has been with Harvest since 1994 and is the founding director of HCDC. She has served in early childhood ministries since 1984 in Texas & Virginia. She has started two Sunday School Preschool Ministries and has been the opening Director for three child care centers. Kristi was named Tarrant Counties 2006 Child Care Administrator of the Year & received the "Celebration of Champions" 2008 Phyllis Jack Moore Professional Development Award.
She holds a Master of Education in Early Education Administration from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and is currently in the process of pursuing her Doctorate of Education at Liberty University. Kristi has all four major certificates in her field: C.D.A. (Child Development Associate), C.C.P. (Child Care Provider), P.A.C. (Professional Administrators Credential), and N.A.C. (National Administrators Credential). She has a diploma from East Texas Baptist University in Early Childhood, where she was also on the teaching staff for a short while.
Kristi is a member of Association of Christian Schools International where she currently serves on the Executive Board as the early education representative and on the early education Commission Board. She is also a member of the International Association of Christian Early Educators, International Association of Christian School Administrators, National Child Care Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and Texas Licensed Child Care Association where she has served on the Executive Board. Kristi has served on the Advisory Board on Child Care Facilities and Administrators in Austin at the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Service's division of Child Care Licensing.
Kristi is known in her professional circle for her ability to develop quality child care facilities from the ground up and her ability to train early-childhood professionals through seminars and workshops. She has trained early educators across the US as well as in South Africa, Hungary, and Romania. She has produced numerous training events and conferences during her years of directing.
Kristi and her husband, David, reside in Fort Worth. They have two children, Rachel, who is majoring in education at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and David who is working for Coke Bottling Company.
Jennifer Hood, HCDC Director
Jennifer has served in early childhood ministries since 1991. She has been a part of our Harvest team since 1995. She has her National Administrators Credential (N.A.C.) as well as many training hours in a vast array of early education subjects.
Jennifer is on the Executive Board of the Battered Women’s Foundation. She donates many hours to this worthy Christian organization. She excels in organizing the child care and children’s activities at the foundation’s monthly events for battered women and children of our community.
Jennifer and her husband, Chris, reside in Saginaw. They have one child, Jessica, who is enrolled at Boswell High School where she is part of the band and color guard. Jennifer and Jessica have been participated in mission’s trips to Mexico. Chris is part of the Christian Motorcycle Club.
